Our policy and advocacy work focuses on creating the conditions for a strong, fair and sustainable assistive technology sector. This means advocating for policies, programs and regulatory settings that recognise the role of industry, support viable service delivery and improve outcomes for assistive technology users.

We do this by:

• Representing the needs and expertise of assistive technology suppliers and the broader industry
• Promoting fair, transparent and sustainable funding and procurement models
• Supporting open markets that promote choice and control and facilitate access to needs-based assistive technology
• Advocating for practical policy and regulatory settings
• Using member experience, sector expertise, research and data to inform reform
• Working with government, regulators and stakeholders to address emerging issues
